Due to an increaseing amount of high volume and user experiance with the internet, attracting new visitors is becoming increaseingly difficult. When the internet first started out there were few high quality pages to visit and people would roam the internet, stumbling upon new pages. This exploritory browsing decreases with user knowledge and experiance. This is often due to busy schedules and an abundance of new sites- the task of finding a new good site is daunting. Gaining free media is difficult to generate and there are fewer opportunities to be the top page in a random seach. The key to attracting new visitors is motivating them to visit your site by placing a link or ad on exisiting sites they currently visit.
