This blog has had extensive posts regarding the tactics of Search Engine Utilization and Internet Marketing. I thought it would be a good idea to introduce a "real life" story of a young entrepreneur that has become a very successful internet marketer using a vertical market approach for implementation.
Rob Laidlaw is President and CEO of Verticalscope Inc. He founded the company in 1999 and has grown it from a basement run company as a teenager, to a multi-national marketing authority of websites, online communities, and print magazines for Automotive, Sports and Technology markets. Rob started the company as an ambitious teenager from Saskatchewan working from his home and grown the company to having a large head office in downtown Toronto, Ontario.
Verticalscope Inc. used to produce a group of print magazines under the Modified brand, which I had the pleasure of working with for a couple years. Being an entrepreneur means identifying opportunities when the arise. In March 2007, Rob sold the Modified Automotive Group properties to Primedia Inc., a very large media company based out of the United States. Since then, Rob has focused his efforts building a leading company that owns hundreds websites and online communities including motorcycle.com, autoforums.com, and atv.com just to name a few.
Rob is definitely successful entrpreneur that has worked very hard, implementing and executing tactful business plans that have resulted in very prosperous outcomes.
